I rebuilt the entire powertrain, part of the interior, cooling & heating system, the entire suspension, braking, and steering systems. I also had the exterior repaired from both rust and hail damage. Was physically the most extensive and difficult project I've done, but I learned a lot. Looked like new when done.
Almost smells like the 90's
Good ole M50 engine.
I bought this motorcycle in Peru and traveled ~11k mi in South America, adding on various modifications including a custom sheepskin seat, improvised panniers, top box, tool boxes, and expansion tanks. Best time of my life, and very dependable bike.
Panniers are old vegetable oil containers with ratchet straps, and they took such a beating without any problems

Carburetor jetting using copper wire - works!
The Versys has terrible lights, and I like to ride all day, all year. I built custom HID projectors into the Versys headlight housing. Worth it, even if you have to scrape away thermoset rubber for a few hours.
Final result shows "eye" appearance of projectors inside the headlight housing.
3D printed ASA bracket holds the drivers and organizes much of the wiring for the HID projectors.
As a gift to my dad, I rebuilt essentially everything, repacked bearings, repainted frame and generated custom components such as bolt covers with logos. Anodized some components. Original scooter had over 30k miles. Rebuilt scooter had many small QoL improvements including suspension.
